“Space Week” Events in Southern New Mexico October 23-28, 2007

This forum will be held annually to help inform the public about the progress of the business of space. A number of speakers will address three topics: History of Spaceport America; Current Status of Spaceport America; and the X PRIZE Cup.
The forum will be held at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum from 9:00am until noon. It is free and open to the public.
October 24-25, 2007 International Symposium for Personal Spaceflight-2007
New Mexico State University and X PRIZE welcome you to the Third International Symposium for Personal Spaceflight (ISPS-2007), the opening event of the 2007 Wirefly X PRIZE Cup. The purpose of ISPS is to bring the community involved in all aspects of commercial space travel together for two days to grow the industry. The Symposium will be held at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum.
This two day event begins on Wednesday, October 24th with registration beginning at 7:00am, with plenary and breakout sessions lasting until 4:00pm followed by a reception and dinner. Thursday’s events begin with registration at 7:00am and multiple track sessions lasting until 4:00pm.

October 27-28, 2007 Wirefly X Prize Cup and Holloman Air and Space Expo
The 2007 Wirefly X Prize Cup will be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 27-28, 2007 at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, New Mexico. This year’s event will feature 7 hours each day of live lunar vehicle competitions, launches and air show performances. Ground and static displays will include rockets, robotics, military and warbird aircraft.
The show is free and open to the public. Gates open at 8:00am with show hours from 10:00am until 5:00pm.
